How to set up a learning workflow
To set up a learning workflow:
- Navigate to the Courses page.
- Click to select the desired course.
- Navigate to the Content tab.
- Click the row for the desired concept.
- Navigate to the Learning Workflow tab.
- Click the Add Step button on the left to add a new step to the workflow.
To add a new instruction item to the learning workflow:
- Select Add Instruction Item from the Add Step menu in the learning workflow.
- Enter a title for the step.
- Select the instruction item you would like to add from existing items in the concept.
- Click the save button to finish adding the instruction item.

To add a new static question set to the learning workflow:
- Select Add Questions (Static) from the Add Step menu in the learning workflow.
- Enter a title for the step.
- Select all the question items you would like to add from existing items in the concept. You can filter your selection by Item Type and Bloom's Taxonomy level. The order that you select the questions is how they will appear in the concept learning workflow.
- If the Grading Scope is set at "Only Gradable Steps" in the Mastery & Grading Settings, then you will need to set the toggle to "Is Gradable". If the Grading Scope is set at "All Steps", then this toggle will not be visible.
- Click the save button to finish adding the question set.

To add a new adaptive question set to the learning workflow:
- Select Add Questions (Adaptive) from the Add Step menu in the learning workflow.
- Enter a title for the step.
- Select the Item Type, Bloom's Taxonomy level, and how many questions you would like generated for the set from among those attributes.
- If the Grading Scope is set at "Only Gradable Steps" in the Mastery & Grading Settings, then you will need to set the toggle to "Is Gradable". If the Grading Scope is set at "All Steps" then this toggle will not be visible.
- Click the save button to finish adding the question set.
Note: If there are not enough questions with the attributes selected in Step 3, then you will not be able to save the step.
To move steps up and down:
- Select the desired step.
- Click on Move Up or Move Down. The step will be moved accordingly.
Note: If there is only one step, these buttons will not be clickable.
