Release Notes (Learning Workflow Versions Phase 2) 17 August, 2021
The latest release includes the following improvements to the Course Designer UX.
- Users with the Content Review privilege for a course can now request approval for a learning workflow.
- When a user requests approval for a learning workflow, an automatic check is done for items in draft in the new learning workflow; however, a learning workflow can still be approved if there are items in draft, pending approval, or set for a future approval date.
- Content Review tabs have been changed from "Approve Items" and "Revise Items" to "Content Items" and "Learning Workflows".
- Items on the Content Items page can be sorted by Pending Approval, Future Approval, and Revision Requested
- Learning Workflows on the Learning Workflows page can be sorted by Pending Approval, Future Approval, and Draft.
- Learning workflows can be previewed on this page by selecting "View as Student" from the details drop down menu.
- On the Content Review page, learning workflows and content items can now be set to be approved on a future date or approved immediately.
- Students will continue to see the most recently fully approved version of the learning workflow until a new version of the learning workflow is approved either on the future approval date or immediately approval.
- If a student is in the middle of a learning workflow and a new learning workflow is approved (either immediately or on the set future approval date), the student will continue to see the learning workflow version that they originally started.
- For review mode, the student will see the version that they completed in learning mode.
- The content verification check will now include checking for draft learning workflows.
- Users can now copy a learning path.
The latest release also includes the following improvements to the Student UX.
- When a student scaffolds, a pop-up will appear showing the original concept, the concept they are scaffolding to, their current scores, and current status (Scaffolded, In Progress, Mastered/Completed).
- When a student starts their return to the original concept, a pop-up will appear showing the concepts they have scaffolded down to, the current concept they are working on, scores, and status (Scaffolded, In Progress, Mastered/Completed).
