Release Notes (27 June, 2022) Faculty Preview Enhancement
The following improvements have been made to the platform:
When adding a new learning path, copying an existing learning path, or updating an existing learning path, the developer will have the option designate the learning path as a "Faculty Preview" Learning Path. The "Faculty Preview" learning path will differ from the existing learning path functionality in the following ways:
- When creating a new learning path with the faculty preview setting enabled, the user will be required to select from the following settings for items and learning workflows as to be displayed to the user.
- Latest Version (regardless of validation status)
- Future Approved or Approved - when selecting this setting, the user will need to select a cut-off date for including the future approved versions of items and learning workflows. Any future approved versions of items and learning workflows with an approval date after the cut-off date will not be included.
- Approved Only
- The above settings will also apply to any prerequisites to concepts included in the learning path.
- When setting up the LTI connection to Canvas for a "Faculty Preview" learning path, the developer will be required to include the Canvas Course ID. If the Canvas Course ID is not included, an LTI connection for a faculty preview learning path cannot be established and the developer will receive an error message.
- When launching the preview learning path from Canvas and while progressing through the learning path, the faculty will be notified that this is a preview learning path for review purposes only.
