The content: overview dashboard is a content designer level dashboard providing insights into the number of courses, learning paths, concepts, and items.
Access and Navigation
The content: overview dashboard will be accessible by any user with the privilege to access it.
To access the Content: Overview Dashboard:
- Navigate to the Insights page.
- Click on the Content: Overview button.
Courses
This metric shows the total number of courses including the total number of approved, draft, and archived courses.
Learning Paths
This metric shows the total number of learning paths including the number of learning paths connected to live sections in Canvas.
Concepts
This metric shows the total number of concepts including the number of concepts with prerequisites and the percentage of concepts with prerequisites. Note: this total includes concepts in archived courses.
Items
This metric shows the total number of unique items found on the platform. There is a separate count for items with versions and a total of items including all their versions.
Items by Item Type
This metric shows the unique number and percentage of items by type (instruction, self-check, pre-assessment, post-assessment, summative, and pilot item). Versions are not included in this total.
Items by Bloom's Level
This metric shows the unique number and percentage of items by Bloom's Taxonomy Level. Versions are not included in this total.
Item Templates
This metric shows the number and percentage of items by item template. This list is sorted from highest to lowest.
