What are the different pacing settings

There are two pacing options for learning paths:

Self-Paced

In a self-paced learning path, students progress by simply completing each unit. Once a unit is finished, they can immediately advance to the next one. Due dates are shown, but they are used only for late grading, not for controlling progress.

Fixed-Pace

In a fixed-pace learning path, students must complete each unit and meet its due date before they can access the next unit. If a unit is un-gated, the due date is ignored, and the student only needs to complete the unit to move forward.
