Release Notes 1 September, 2020

The latest release includes these fixes/improvements to the Course Designer UI:

Courses Page
  1. Courses can now be sorted alphabetically and by date.
  2. An informational mouse-over has been added to show when a course was created and when it was last updated. 
Details Tab
  1. The message collaboration window will no longer automatically pop open. Users will be alerted to the number of messages and to view new messages, the user will need to click on the message collaboration button. 
  2. When in the Details dashboard on the Basic Info tab for a course, the course icon and background can now be previewed as the student sees it. Click on the details button for the course icon or background and select Preview. 
  3. Minor UI changes have been made to the Task List and Audit Log. 
Blueprint Tab
  1. A "content" button has been added to the Actions menu. Clicking on this button will take the user directly to the content page (where instruction and question items are located) for that concept. 
  2. A recently added concept can be deleted without refreshing the page. 
  3. When deleting a concept, a mouse-over message has been added when a concept cannot be deleted. It reads "Cannot delete since content exists!"
  4. When hitting the back navigation button from Prerequisites to the concept blueprint, the user will land on the last page viewed not the first page. 
  5. Minor UI changes have been to made to the Prerequisites and Outcomes tabs.
Content Tab
  1. The number of instruction and question items out of how many are required are now displayed for each concept.
    1. A mouse-over tool tip has been added that displays the number of Self-check, Pre-assessment, Post-assessment, and Summative question items that exist out of how many are required. 
    2. Additional informative mouse-over messages have been added to the Content tab. 
  2. ProofRead has replaced the previous Spellcheck which provides both Spelling Correction As You Type and grammar checking. 
  3. When in the learning workflow, the "View as Student" button should not appear if there are no steps in the learning workflow. The "View as Student" button will appear once a step has been added to the learning workflow. 
  4. The message collaboration window will no longer automatically pop open. Users will be alerted to the number of messages and to view new messages, the user will need to click on the message collaboration button. 
Learning Paths Tab
  1. Users can now preview the unit icon and background as it would appear in the Student UI.
  2. Minor UI changes have been to the Details section of the Learning Path. 
Content Library Page
  1. After filtering by concept, users can further filter by keyword. 
  2. Content items are now displayed A-Z. 
  3. Minor UI changes have been made to the Content Library page.
