How does intervention differ from remediation?
To check how intervention data differs from remediation data for a course:
Navigate to the Courses page.
Click to select the desired course.
Navigate to the Intervention tab.
Next, navigate to the Remediation tab and compare the data.
Remediation occurs when a student struggles with a concept and is moved to its prerequisite for extra support. While working on the prerequisite concept, the student is in remediation. After successfully completing the prerequisite concept, they return to the normal learning path, no longer in remediation for that concept.
Intervention occurs when a student still struggles after remediation or does not master a concept that has no prerequisite. It means they need extra support beyond the usual scaffolding. Students marked as needing intervention can continue through the learning path.
