What is mastery and how is it calculated?

Mastery is the demonstration of proficiency in a concept.

Mastery is calculated after going through an entire learning workflow (all the question items regardless of type) of a concept. If your result on all question items is equal or above the mastery percentage, then the concept is considered mastered. If it is below the mastery percentage, the concept is not mastered (completed).
  1. For example, if your result is 75% and the mastery percentage is 80% then the concept is not mastered.
The mastery calculation for a concept is based on the Weighted Results of all items included in the concept learning workflow. This means that different question types have more weight than others in the overall calculation.

NoteMastery can also be determined in a concept during the Initial Diagnostic based on your performance in a set of questions (without going through the entire learning workflow of a concept).
